Family members who said that they were welcomed with a great show of love at Izmir Adnan Menderes Airport, where they went in the first days of the earthquake, stated that they were subjected to an unexpected treatment on their return.

At the airport operated by TAV, security personnel opened their suitcases and threw away earthquake aid for no reason, family members said, which drew the reaction of citizens waiting in line for ticket approval (Chek-up).

The family members stated that they did not deserve the double standard treatment applied to them by TAV personnel who welcomed the passengers who recently traveled on the Air Serbia flight from Belgrade: "We are saddened when we remember what happened to us at Izmir Adnan Menderes Airport. They ignored all our requests and pleas. Even the passengers waiting in line reacted by rebelling, but the attitude of the officials did not change. Although we said that products such as cleaning agents could be taken to the cargo compartment of the plane, we could not make anyone listen.

Two of our suitcases were thrown away. In that ditch, we had an electronic device that was extremely necessary for us. We still can't believe what we've been through. After the earthquake, we experienced the greatest trauma at Adnan Menderes Airport.
